Yet again, Boyda sees unanimous approval of legislation

Yesterday, the House of Representatives unanimously passed Congresswoman Nancy Boyda's bill to close a loophole in federal child pornography laws that allowed a Kansas City man go free.

Boyda was quote thusly in the St. Louis Examiner:

"We need to get these guys in jail and keep them there," Boyda said. "It's about keeping our kids safe from these predators."
This news comes out just as TheHill.com runs an article detailing the successes of the Democratic Party's freshmen members- including Boyda's work to strip members convicted of felonies of their pensions.

Republicans tell us Congress- and specifically Nancy Boyda- hasn't achieved anything. Obviously, that isn't true.

Yeah .... it seems to show .... Ms. Boyda takes credit for almost everything that happens in Congress. Kind of how my 5 year old lets me know of everything he does ..... I think people are getting tired of the look at me qualities in their representatives. It's your job!! Most of us don't seek attention and credit for everything we do that we are paid to do ..... IT IS CALLED DOING YOUR JOB!!

and she is doing her job.

thanks for pointing that out.

No people doing their job don't seek out every paper or camera to talk about it and claim every idea is theirs ..... they do it

I never said Congresswoman Boyda was doing a good job ..... just said doing her job

most people who do their jobs don't have a responsibility to let their constituents know what they are doing. Most people do their jobs without having to worry about the approval of 670,000 constituents. If she didn't let us know what she did then she wouldn't be doing her job.

Jerry Moran has been doing his job and doing it well for years ..... he doesn't call a press conference every time he votes on something or co-sponsors something.

and neither does Boyda.

just another partisan trying to make a straw man. Jerry Moran issues press releases exactly as often as Boyda does.

Was there really a loophole that needed to be closed? If the guy in KC couldn't be charged with possession of that stuff then the government must not have had much of a case (you either have it or you don't--why does it matter how he got it?). This seems an awful lot like a backdoor power grab by the Federal government. Whenever they say that they're doing something "for the children" I get worried.

Come on Jason ..... exact same number of press releases????

Only you would believe that

who's jason? and i'll revise my remarks- Moran actually issues MORE press releases than boyda does..but, whatever, Republicans can't count.

are you people really stupid enough to think sending out press releases ISN'T part of her job? Jesus, I know Republicans are dumb, but, come on folks...

No most of the stupid people are Democrats .... who believe the GOVERNMENT is the answer in fixing any problem.

Anonymous said...

government is a better answer than letting people like you decide for us

Anonymous said...

Yeah because government has done such a great job with all of the programs it runs.

What a socialist fool?

i don't think that was supposed to be a question? maybe you should learn basic grammar?

Thank you Mr. Grammar

I have administrative assistants that take care of those details normally.
