In perhaps the weirdest article yet to come out of the "Tussle in District Two" Republican primary (we're tying to come up with something cute...."bloodbath" was getting old), Lynn Jenkins seems to be just taking every single opportunity she can find to move herself farther and farther out of the mainstream of the district she wants to represent in Congress.
She said this about immigration:
Jenkins also highlighted her stance on illegal immigration, which she predicted will be a major issue during the upcoming race. While we're sure everyone one of us can point to problems with Jim Ryun's record on illegal immigration (10 years of ignoring the problem, stuff like that), probably one thing we can't fault him for, at least in terms of this conversation, is his unflinching opposition to amnesty for undocumented aliens. That's one small thing he and Congresswoman Nancy Boyda agree on.
She said her view on amnesty is another instance in which she differs from Ryun, and said she was “disappointed” with his stance on the issue.
So, can Lynn Jenkins really be saying she's in favor of amnesty for illegal immigrants? Sure looks that way- and it goes along beautifully with her recent rhetoric of "not holding businesses accountable" for hiring illegals.
Good job, Lynn, just keep diggin'.

she really just is clueless, isn't she?
Umm ... Jim Ryun supports amnesty ... Jenkins does not.
have you lost your blinking mind? i'm a liberal democrat, and i PROMISE you jim ryun doesn't support amnesty.
jenkins is either lying (again) or she supports amnesty. i'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt that she isn't a liar all the time.
Interesting since Boyda had a position of amnesty for illegals until it became unpopular.
Ryun has a long record of voting for amnesty and if Boyda or Boyda Bloc had a decent researcher, they'd know that too.
First boyda hasn't ever supported amnesty
Second-show me one time Ryun did vote for amnesty. I promise you can't.
Uh, check out the Raubin and Megan show from late October 2006. I'll see if I can run down the clip. Boyda is clearly talking about supporting a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. That is the definition of amnesty.
no, of course it isn't the "definition of amnesty" you dolt...giving blanket citizenship might very well be amnesty, but making them go back to Mexico or paying fines that put them on the track to citizenship sure as hell isn't amnesty.
Boyda & Ryun are both against amnesty, and i guess jenkins is in favor of it.
Boyda's voted the right way on illegals, too..which is something Ryun didn't do.
BB is so stupid they can't figure out that Jim Ryun voted for amnesty twice, therefore if Jenkins is against Ryuns position she would be against amnesty. Apparently BB aka Boyda's people don't know how to do legislative research. KDP should pay for some research instead of someone to tape speeches that they can't figure out.
