Rothenberg Expects Boyda Win

Hat tip from MyDD

The Rothenberg Political Report lists the KS-02 as a pure tossup

Kansas 2, where Democrat Nancy Boyda is running for a second term, features a very bitter and potentially divisive GOP primary, which should make it fairly difficult for the party to pick up the seat.

Uh, pure toss-up means just that. Pure toss-up. Rothenberg only uses that rating when he isn't so sure the incumbent is going to win. Nice try at spinning a bad rating for Boyda.

It isnt a bad rating in a R7 district...she shouldn't even stand a chance.

"which should make it fairly difficult for the [Republican] party to pick up the seat."

Doesn't sound like he thinks its a pure toss-up to me.

that's what he says - its a toss up but given these situations he sees a path to victory for boyda - follow the link did you read the thing

If he thought Boyda would/should win, he would have rated it "Leans Democrat." He just added the rest of his thoughts, ie "there is still a way she can win."
Any incumbent that doesn't get "Lean" in their rating has trouble according to Rothenberg.
Keep spinning, though. It makes for great reading.

you don't understand rothenberg, obviously...because if he thought there was a good chance she'd lose, she's put the seat in as leans republican. he didn't, which means he's convinced she's got a good chance of pulling it off.

"which means he's convinced she's got a good chance of pulling it off." Riiiiight. I think that would be news to Stu.
Go take another puff of whatever you are smoking and come back later.
