FEC Pre-General Reports Filed

Nancy Boyda:

Beginning of Period: $622,330.89
Raised: $39,250.00
Disbursements: $325,925.37
Cash-on-Hand: $335,655.52

Lynn Jenkins:

In a race this close, the distance between Jenkins and Boyda is as good as zero- particularly with all of the independent expenditures that have exploded in the last few days. But, for the first time, Lynn Jenkins has pulled into the cash-on-hand lead in her race to kick out Nancy Boyda.

Candidates are now also reporting 48 hour notices of large donations- we'll do a daily roundup for both Boyda & Jenkins.

one thing is for sure- jenkins has raised a LOT of money- it's impressive as hell.

i wish she'd spend it better.

She's raised a boatload of money on the coat tails of the most unpopular president in US history along with a former Governor whose opinions on any issue facing this nation change daily.

Maybe how she is spending that money has a lot to do with the people from whom she raised it.

it's depressing jenkins has been such a failure as a candidate. i still am glad i voted for her in the primary, but the campaign she's run has been exactly the opposite of what she needed to do.

Her failure as a candidate is more than likely directly related to her failure as a treasurer to even complete her basic job functions. The gas tax money snafu, six years of doing nothing in the office, and missing the KPERS meetings to campaign tell you all you need to know about Jenkins the candidate.

Essentially, if you were hoping that Lynn Jenkins was Ron Thornburg, I can see how you would be let down.
